Wellness Promotion: Integrating Green Tea into Daily routine

Every morning, if I have my choice I’m having a cup of Green tea. The health benefits are great, and it’s a great way to start the day with giving the body and mind a boost.  Check out how green tea helps the body below!

Green tea, including sencha and matcha, offers a variety of health benefits due to its rich content of antioxidants, vitamins, and other beneficial compounds. Here are some of the key benefits:

Sencha

  1. Rich in Antioxidants: Sencha is high in catechins, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which help reduce oxidative stress and inflammation. This can be great because many Americans and people in general consume food that increase inflammation (fast foods, carbohydrates and alcohol). So, combating this with green tea can help. Not to mention STRESS, now a days it seems like it comes with the territory or striving for more. Consume TEA! Green tea.
  2. Boosts Metabolism: The catechins in sencha can help increase metabolism and support weight loss efforts. Hey, who wouldn’t want to enjoy life in our best shape?
  3. Enhances Heart Health: Regular consumption of sencha can help lower LDL cholesterol levels and improve overall heart health.
  4. Improves Mental Alertness: The caffeine and amino acid L-theanine in sencha can improve mental focus and concentration.
  5. Supports Immune System: The antioxidants and vitamins in sencha, such as vitamin C, help boost the immune system.
  6. Aids Digestion: Sencha can aid in digestion and reduce the risk of gastrointestinal disorders.

Matcha

  1. High in Antioxidants: Matcha contains a higher concentration of antioxidants than regular green tea, including a high amount of EGCG.
  2. Calm Energy Boost: Matcha provides a balanced energy boost due to its combination of caffeine and L-theanine, promoting alertness without the jittery effects of coffee.
  3. Detoxifying Properties: Matcha is rich in chlorophyll, which helps detoxify the body and remove harmful toxins.
  4. Enhanced Weight Loss: The catechins in matcha can help increase fat oxidation and promote weight loss.
  5. Improves Cognitive Function: The L-theanine in matcha enhances brain function, improves memory, and promotes relaxation.
  6. Supports Heart Health: Matcha can help lower cholesterol and blood pressure, contributing to better cardiovascular health.
  7. Boosts Immune System: The vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in matcha support the immune system and overall health.
  8. Promotes Healthy Skin: The antioxidants in matcha can improve skin health and reduce the signs of aging.

Consuming sencha and matcha green tea are great choices for incorporating a healthy diet, each offering unique benefits based on their preparation and concentration of beneficial compounds. Right now, you can get 3-4 months of Organic green tea from Costco for about $15. Make the investment.
